Hello Parents & Carers!
The children have completed their second week back at school at it has been brilliant! I am so happy to be back at school and I’m can tell that the children are all glad to be back at school too by seeing all their smiley faces each day.
This term we have been learning all about transport. This week in Literacy we have been learning all about boats! We have looked at the story ‘Brilliant Boats’ by Tony Mitton and Ant Parker (see the link below). We have also learnt all about sail boats, rescue boats and submarines! Ask your child if they can tell you a little bit about each of them.
In Phonics we have been looking at the sounds ‘ai’, ‘ng’ and ‘ee’. We have also looked at the tricky words ‘was’ and ‘be’. The children did some excellent work during Phonics this week:
All the children have been really engaged during their choosing time
Today we had lots of fun making playdough! The children had their own individual piece and made the propeller for a helicopter, a face, spots for a ladybird and even a spider web! I think we will definitely have to make some again next week as it was so much fun!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
